My Background
In the early years of my career, I worked as a backcountry mountain bike coach while spending most of my spare time trying to understand real estate, the financial markets and the monetary systems which underpin our economy.
That said, what drives me is my thirst for learning. In this age of technology, whereby endless knowledge is at our fingertips, I still cannot seem to absorb enough content. At any one time, I have far too many books on the go and countless podcasts lined up.
However, I felt something was missing. Although I loved my job, I was no longer feeling satisfied. After looking inwards, I realized I wanted to combine my desire to learn and my passion for educating, and I wanted to share more of this life-changing material.
In 2020, I pivoted my love for educating others and sharing experiences to the digital realm, where I now write about areas of our existence that inspire me and share thought-provoking content that I stumble upon.
In 2021, I co-founded Looking Glass Education. An all-in-one educational platform built with the intention of empowering individuals to take control of their financial futures.
And in 2022, the Qi of Self-sovereignty was born.

Why the name "The Qi of Self-Sovereignty"?
Qi (pronounced "Chee") is the traditional Chinese medicine word for the vital energy that gives life to the human body. It is qi that keeps our spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health in balance.
However, how can we find balance and locate our authentic selves without control over our body, mind and the direction of our own life?
It is, therefore, my goal to expand your awareness within just a few minutes of reading each post through one quote and a piece of content that made me go hmm...
In each post, I will dive into a particular topic, sharing any personal insights, all with the goal of deepening one's understanding, self-sovereignty and authenticity.
